altWest Port - the  stone archway at the bottom of South St is the only fortified gateway left in Scotland.

The town has retained its charm & character - ancient buildings & architecture, quaint & traditional shopping (a cheesemonger, greengrocer, fishmonger, butcher etc) plus the conveniences of modern life such as a late night supermarket and a wide range of bars, cafes and restaurants.

Getting here...

Getting here by car

From Edinburgh take the A90 over the Forth Road bridge which joins the M90. Continue north until junction 7 and take the A91 following signs to St Andrews. Journey time is approximately one hour from the airport.

To get to the house, drive into St Andrews on A91 going past the Old Course Hotel on your left and proceed straight over the first roundabout into the town. Follow this up the hill and turn right at the roundabout onto City Road.

Go past the Bus Station on your right and straight over a small roundabout and then take the first left at next roundabout under an ancient stone arch called the West Port.

You are now in South Street. Follow this road straight over a mini roundabout until you go across a pedestrian crossing and you will see Holy Trinity Church on your left and the Town Hall on your right. This is about 500 yards up from West Port. Turn right immediately before the Town Hall into Queens Gardens and No 6 is 200 yards on your left.

We are almost exactly a one hour drive from Edinburgh Airport and approx 90 & 25 minutes respectively from Glasgow & Dundee airports.

There is all day/night free parking outside the house in Queen's Gardens and there are also Pay & Display spaces (cost 85p per hour) towards the South St end.
